At age seven Mike got a pretty cool Christmas gift from his Dad -- a Sears & Roebuck acoustic guitar. The strings on that first guitar were nylon, but within ten years he had switched to metal -- and not just the strings. Turning into a full-blown guitar gunslinger, Mike and his keyboardist brother played Rock & Roll halls and venues from New York City to Boston. With a latitude change to Florida he began growing into other musical styles -- popular/dance and country.

During several years with the Amy Stephens band Mike made regular appearances at the Wild Horse Saloon, Disney's Pleasure Island and Orlando's Church Street Station, sharing concert stages with the Charlie Daniels Band, Eddie Rabbit, and many others. Along the way Mike's talents as a lead vocalist have become a featured part of the show , and he now brings that whole musical bag-of-tricks to the party -- with Sleep Until Noon!
